Growing through Grief

"hurting...grieving...adjusting...healing"

No one wants to go through grief. It involves hurt, anger, confusiong and change.
When we lose something, we need to adjust to that loss, what we call grief.

There are many different kinds of losses...
loss of a job, a loved one, a reputation, a favorite habit, a friend, a child
loss of dreams, of hope, of vision, of trust...

The Grief Process: How to Grow through Grief

7 Tips from Dr. Tom on Grief

1. Grief is a process. It takes time to work through.
2. You can't always dictate which phase of grief you "do" today.
3. Talk to people. It helps make your loss seem real.
4. Talk to God. He is the One who truly understands your loss.
5. Talk to a professional. It can help you stay on the recovery track.
6. Don't give up. With God's help you WILL make it.
7. Comfort or love someone else. It will help you and them.
