Dr. Tom has been a pastor, marriage/family counselor, conference speaker and life coach for many years.

Since founding Life Changers in 1997, he has helped hundreds of couples, families and individuals experience lasting life change.

He and Barbara have been married 25 years and have 2 adult children and their dog, Tuffy.

For fun, the Zimmermans like to hike, camp, travel...and SAIL!
( Dr. Tom is an avid sailor, even in the Arizona desert!)
Mary Buckman

Mary has helped many people overcome life’s problems in her years
as a school counselor as well as in private practice.

She has helped children who have attachment problems, learning problems, behavior problems and emotional problems as well as adults with depression and anxiety.

Mary has also trained at Wellspring Ministries and is excited to see God heal people who are hurting. She is new to the Phoenix area and loves living closer to her family.
Deon Sawyer

Deon has 11 years experience counseling children and families in school, clinic and treatment settings. She specializes in: children coping with divorce, blended families, developmental and learning disorders, anger and anxiety management, children recovering from abuse, grief, and those coping with illness.

Deon also offers workshops:

The House Divided – Awareness for parents and educators on the effects of divorce and helping children cope with living between two households.

A Childs Love Languages- Recognizing 5 of the languages children use when communicating. Using the languages to best teach and motivate your child.

Meditation and Prayer, countering the effects of illness- Utilizing the powerful effects of meditation and prayer to assist with the challenges of illness.

Deon has a love of the outdoors, including hiking, camping and fishing with her family.

Neomi Sarmiento

B.A., M.S.

Neomi grew up as a pastor and missionary’s daughter and has a passion for ministering to those in need. Neomi has also worked for many years advocating and assisting victims of domestic violence. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Nothing brings her more joy than to see families become closer and stronger and to see hope for change in the process of counseling. She especially enjoys working with children and uses many methods to address their needs.

When at home, Neomi enjoys walks in the park with her husband and daughter. She also loves to cook and see everyone smile after a good meal.
